Cups for a Season - and a Reason 从春喝到夏

To be fair, we had a very mild spring, and not-that-bad summer this year. My new collections on cups and saucers work very well within seasons' change.

I assume this is a typical girly set. No male ever "wow" as all girls do. I like the tiny treats on side while stir in milk w/feather spoon. It's not a statement design but quite special within all collections.

金丝兰孔雀的三件套。用在母亲节的开场。妈妈很喜欢。碟子旁摆一粒巧克力草莓正正好。我觉得羽毛匙是加分。

 

 

 

Royal Albert Old Country Rose. I just don't know how I never remember to include it into my tea set collection.  为什么这样的经典款我会忘了放进来。

 

 

 

Royal Albert Rose Confetti. They remind me those tiny flowers dresses for a tiny girl in old summer time.

纤纤柔柔的一套。终于接受粉红，竟待自己不再年纪轻的时候了。

 

 

 

 

Always want to find some sets for boys. This Charter Club is heavy and thick enough to satisfy them - even with some flowers... 有时候，厚实一点中性一点又白又金的，还真不太好找。

 

 

 

Villeroy & Boch  Audun Ferme. Take a trip back in time to a quaint French countryside with black & white country scenes and designs on white porcelain banded in pale yellow. 先生可以接受的一套。线条利落，把手也不苛刻。这一款茶具出在德国，餐具出在中国。瓷的细度和底圈还是不一般哪。

 

 

 

Match with Chamomile tea. Yellow, and even tenderer yellow. 嫩黄配了菊花茶。消暑。

 

 

 

 

Villeroy & Boch Design Naif by Corsican artist Gérard Laplau. 14oz drink anyone? Good size even to match Spode's famous Blue Italian. But this design is much selfish. Reminds well the good youth, could afford to waste on papers & crayons, waste on time & mind.

Cute Sandwich plate. I love the moment when finish some very elegant tea sandwich, only to discover the childish design on bottom: bite & grab more, till to find the whole picture, till "Awww" everyone.   

三文治盘子一样可爱。这真是我的收藏里不多的可以算童心的一套。

 

 

 

 

Wedgwood Cuckoo - decorated with a design of Chinese birds, flowers, coupe, scalloped and gold trim dating back to the early 19th century. I love the combination of style when East meets West.
鸟语花香的。杯口大，喝来与人不同。不过把手就特别设计，不小心会提醒到你：手指头再大一点儿就要减肥啦。

How about to pair with top Chinese red tea with rose.

配一杯玫瑰金骏眉，中与西的碰撞。水上与水边的映衬。

 

 

 

For my Chinese tea all time favorite. Unique design way back 600 years ago. Adding more character upon every usage. You can never predict the pattern till once used, and the more you tea it, the better the look sets in. I love this particular color as well: Washed Sky after Thunder. How smart the ceramic maker to pleasant the king, and how romantic a king could be.
