6/29/12Dinner: Grilled Trout, 焖三鲜,炒黄芽白,清炒雪里红

今天的晚餐:Grilled Trout, 焖三鲜,炒黄芽白,清炒雪里红。






Grilled Trout best salt & butter, fresh pepper. Make so simple and wonderful tasty trout. Keep the skin on to reserve the flavor.





焖三鲜:茄子土豆韭菜花。小朋友的心头好。

6/28/12 Dinner: 西洋菜皮蛋滚汤,泰椒豆瓣酸笋羊角豆,酱爆鸡丁,蒜焖四季豆,紫苏日本青瓜,炒上海青。饭后甜点:家乡白凉粉

今天的晚餐:西洋菜皮蛋滚汤,泰椒豆瓣酸笋羊角豆,酱爆鸡丁,蒜焖四季豆,紫苏日本青瓜,炒上海青。饭后甜点:家乡白凉粉。





西洋菜皮蛋滚汤:夏天的好汤,清火又方便。



泰椒豆瓣酸笋羊角豆:十分酸辣,十分惹味的一道。粥饭冷热皆益。

饭后甜点:家乡白凉粉。 绿豆白凉粉 配黄糖水,滴醋,一点点薄荷油,丝丝清凉甜到心里。

6/27 Dinner: Pizza & Salad

Small kitchen has small renovation today. Cannot cook inside. Do a quick dinner for all: pizza: meat lover & cheese (not pictured), salad, and tons of summer fruits.






Watermelon vinegar dressing works great on this salad. Sweet, refresh, and summery.

6/26/12 Dinner: 大蒜鲇鱼,酱爆小排,烧杂菌菇,醋溜白菜,豆豉白玉苦瓜,腐乳通心菜

今天的晚餐:大蒜鲇鱼,酱爆小排,烧杂菌菇,醋溜白菜,豆豉白玉苦瓜,腐乳通心菜。


大蒜鲇鱼:小朋友的收获,3磅多呢。去了头才能整条烧。有不吃辣的又有不吃豆瓣的,配料怪不容易。



酱爆小排:又嫩又入味,全家无一例外人人爱的畅销品。




烧杂菌菇:鲜得很。一定要加的:姜,白胡椒,蚝油。冬天并下香油。

6/25/12 Dinner: Rice Noodle Bowl in 20 Minutes

6/25/112 Dinner: Rice Noodle Bowl in 20 Minutes


Kiddos' activity not ended till 915pm tonight. So exhausted, and hungry. Won't enjoy those after game pizza or sub party any longer. Let's eat a huge bowl of rice noodle that won't feel heavy at all!


For kiddos. Put on lots of sausage they love. Three digit temperature weather, decide to do a dry-stir-style rather than a soup base one I regularly make.



For adults. Grounded turkey with home made pickle cabbage. Add some vinegar & hot sauce. Cannot be faster nor more satisfied.

6/22/12 quick dinner for 7: rice noodle bowl

6/22/12 kiddos best friend coming to play. 7 rice noodle bowls in 30 minutes.
Best part was the little guest prized my cooking "much better than my mom's". Ahh, I'd rather believe it :)



Kiddos' bowl: topping per request. I call it When BF Meets Rice Noodle...




Adults' bowl: home-made daikon radish pickles w/ground turkey, egg, veg, cilantro. Special home-made soy sauce, hot sauce, sesame oil.





这是午夜的一碗宵夜。超麻又酸辣的水煮粉丝。同食的另一位居然不能吃完。味重到可以感觉一大碗入口,入胃,入肚的时分。真刺激啊。

6/21/12 淮山土鸡汤,茄汁烧豆腐,酸萝卜爆火鸡肉末,蒜蓉菜芯,醋溜土豆,蒜蓉A菜

6/21/12 Dinner: not feeling well today. Prepared dishes with extreme tiredness. Good thing is the summer break, kiddos have more flexible schedule for me to work with......
淮山土鸡汤,茄汁烧豆腐,酸萝卜爆火鸡肉末,蒜蓉菜芯,醋溜土豆,蒜蓉A菜。



淮山土鸡汤:鸡汤汤头昨晚熬好。今晚菜素,火鸡绞肉炒在酸菜里,小朋友又是不吃的。临时搅了肉丸子,用鸡汤烫好,倒是受欢迎。身体不适,今晚就是这碗汤了。




茄汁烧豆腐:茄汁烧好后再入油豆腐,慢火煮到汁收干,一口咬下,好惹味哦。





酸萝卜爆火鸡肉末:两天出坛,酸味正好。送饭送粥送面,粉,冷热咸宜。




蒜蓉菜芯:有家乡的“菜花”口感。




醋溜土豆:小朋友大爱。所以不能下尖椒。花椒也不能看见!

610pm 到家,720pm 炒完了,又病又累,手都有些抖。要休息。

6/20/12 Dinner: 葱油霸王鸡,烧冬瓜,培根四季豆,腐乳通菜

今天的晚餐:葱油霸王鸡,烧冬瓜,培根四季豆,腐乳通菜。



葱油霸王鸡:是用手撕法,好大一只土鸡,腌过夜,蒸38min, 等不及凉,赶着拆了,除了翅,腿,爪,都去骨。再爆葱油蒸鱼酱油,做法繁些,但老老小小吃得方便。




烧冬瓜:夏天的菜,人人爱。



 培根四季豆:小朋友可对口了

6/15/12 Dinner: Smoked Salmon, stir-fry rice, stir-fry Ong-Choi, cherry cherry!

Quick & simple dinner - no lunch box tomorrow!





Smoked Salmon: Cherry wood this time. Smoked six pic all together. 15 min is medium - well done. Even the grands love it. Will try 12 min next time for kiddos.

Stir-fry rice w/egg & lettuce. Use less than 3C cooked rice to fry for party of six. Works well with lots of eggs and veg. Won't weight you done at all.

Stir-fry Ong-Choi: classic summer veg dish.




Oh I just looove this cherry season! Tons of them!



Beautiful flowers fragrance my main kitchen.

今天的晚餐:冬瓜排骨汤,白切鸡,蒜蓉白菜仔,紫苏青瓜,蒜蓉豆苗。

白切鸡:用盐锔鸡料抹了外皮,更入味些,小朋友更爱。喜欢姜葱,更爱这只小碟!

6/13/12 dinner: New England Lobster Chowder, 白玉苦瓜烧猪软骨,蒜蓉佛手瓜,醋溜白菜,蒜蓉生菜

6/13/12 Just travel back from New England.  Catch the right lobster season. Looove it!
Let's keep eating whenever back to kitchen....

New England Lobster Chowder: local receipy. Do not use flour. Totally different creamy and sweet teast. Two lobsters are not near enough!
