2/10/13 Snacks and Dumplings for Lunar New Year 炸红糖年糕,叉烧包,斋腐皮卷,猪肉韭黄饺子,猪肉玉米饺子,高汤滚豆苗

Two of the top priorities in Lunar New Year is gathering, and eating. Traditional snacks come very handy this time. They can go between big meals, or just be a part of it.
Even my elementary kiddos know we need to do dumplings for new year. Here we are. Take all effort to make them at home. Yum!

大鱼大肉是不能多吃的 ----是会腻也会有罪恶感嘀!
南方人,总是忙着菜啦汤啦,再就是围炉火锅,饺子真是很少动手的。不过总要应应景,何况中文学校里出来的孩子,都训得一根筋,没有饺子,那怎么象过年?三十晚赶不及,年初一得补上。
今天的晚餐:炸红糖年糕,叉烧包,斋腐皮卷,猪肉韭黄饺子,猪肉玉米饺子,高汤滚豆苗 (忘了影)。

包得不成样子,倒也自得其乐。靠边边的是老二包的。扁是扁,小人儿一片心意,我可感动了。
 
 



热热的猪肉韭黄饺子,猪肉玉米饺子出锅喽。两小人吃了一餐,就嚷嚷着还要再玩一次。开心。
