Burgers: How big a first bite. 好吃的一大口

My first "official" hamburger was BigMac.
Of course.
Years later, I was "OK" when finding out the calories are close to 500 ---- it's a treat to me at that time anyway.
Now more years later, those juicy, beefy, and month-big-opened burgers still hold a special place in my heart, even the calories may even double that number...

Don't you agree, a burger to an America, is alike sushi to Japanese, noodle to Chinese, or pizza to Italian: it's all about the story behind - fast, full, comfort.

说道是出门的饺子下马的面。火急火燎的远行一趟，回到来，咱们吃素吃牛排烤肉。但午餐不知道废寝忘食逃了几次，最心仪的轮到一口，那就算汉堡。

I love Kenny and Ziggy's. It's close to my regular routes, popular but reasonable waiting time, clean, fresh, and very NY style deli (and their sandwich meat stacked high as the sky).

My first impression is their pickles. I don't like the "regular" way soaking in vinegar alike preservation, but light, fresh, the just green & crispy pickles can make a long busy day, while, delighted a bit.
在人来人往的商圈里，多少斯文有品的美食，却是耐心的排了长队，热闹闹来一客，用手堆得天高的肉啊菜啊包啊吃将开。没有应酬的匆匆聚会的午餐，就有了恣意和假日的意味了。

Buffalo burger on wheat buns. It's really a typical icehouse, I like to visit it in a cold raining day, finding unique chips in bags (even I am not a chip pro anyway), hearing sounds when empty beer bottles dropping into trash, sit back and in-between three busiest freeways of the town, and soak hair and expensive suits with smells and smokes from the buffalo patties on hot griddle.

在凉凉的湿漉漉的一个中午，叫一客水牛汉堡。油滋滋香喷喷的。看老板在小黑板上苦口婆心的排列着水牛肉的热量啊蛋白质啊微量元素啊，边上却又是满当当的无数种薯片啤酒，叫人怎么保养到长寿才是哩。

1. Five Guys. There was once a family complains they cannot enjoy their burgers because it tastes too "beefy". I sure take this as a positive recommendation.

来，看看我们家大小男丁最衷意的离家最近的头三名。总的来说，他们要大，要香，要快，要慷慨的薯条。

2. Smash Burgers. I like they keep salad on their menu....while just in case.....

这一家是唯一有沙拉有鸡肉在餐牌上的。虽说至今也没兴致试试，至少也算心理安慰吧。

3. Burger-Fi. It's close to the mall & city center, temp décor, loud and chic. On top of the burgers, kiddos like their milk shake ( how fat is too fat?!), while I can work on a glass of wine. BTW, don't bother with their veg burger if you are not a vegetarian: it has more cal than the regular one.

Sometime, finding an unexpected good burger because you are just around is a lucky thing. Finding this big fat burger place next to our most expensive and chic mall in town. Their Southwest style Kobe beef burger could be much appreciated.

这也是在最时尚区意料之外寻着的水牛肉汉堡。就这气势，刚逛到的多少应季衫，上身之前又有压力啦。

How sincere they follow my order of a rare patty! Oh mine, the beef is represented with best texture and flavor (and loads of jalapenos!)

Even the fries are very darling.

Did you ever think only a particular shop makes an item to a perfect level, even it's a franchise?
在很远的一个项目边，又香又饱的午餐。虽然是连锁店，可就这间美味似的。

When hit the road, we like this typical Texan gas station/restaurant/grocer very very much. It is forever giant, clean, full with everything you can think of and educate you even more details you need than you know of.
我们行走赶路之时，往往是爱这一家的。充满了大德州的气势和热情。唯一不足是不能有位子坐下来享用。不过如今也惯了，彼此钻在车里，一边不等及空调配合到，已经一车子的飘香。

When travel to Austin, we like the Hut's. A small corner, long waiting, Wow-Wow portions. I like the creamy Dagburger and spiced The Fats Domino. Check out their onion rings? Unforgettable size and crunchy.

在奥斯丁寻着的好东西。在这个街头餐车与名牌餐厅皆驰名的迷人的大学府+州府，要有本事才好生存呵。

When in a random place, I like to pick whichever house says "since ####". Vick's in LA. Giant street side cook and eat.

在路易斯安那州的街边店。我们往往爱选人家的#1特别介绍，或是双层的超大的，或是蘑菇芝士。基本不出错的。

I don't even remember the name of this shop on the way to AK. We were on GPS to a gas station in a little town while it grabbed our attention: did you ever expect SPAM w/a burger.

在阿肯色全不知名的小镇或也是不算知名的小店，打开来，有惊喜，伴着小感动。

Best accompany to burger is fries. But an onion blossom won't hurt.

3. In-N-Out. We first tried it while after a whole day in mountain. No matter how much great sceneries enjoyed, it's late, tired, hungry. We felt so well to sit in bright shinning crowdie little restaurant been served with generous portions. And their Lettuce Wrap rocks.

对孩子们而言，越不易吃上的，往往就越特别。

对我而言，有一些小故事的，带出一串回忆的，更难忘。

2. Mike's in Arkansas. You feel a good feel when walk in seeing fresh meat at a burger place. The root beer float is awesome, free ice cream is a blessing, but the meat is a true star. I ordered their burger steak plate, awesome!

阿肯色的又一店。新鲜肉品摆开来任你选看的淡定，充满骄傲与复古的摆设，疲惫的归程中，我们对她真是满满的美好和美味回忆。几乎不愿意告别。

1. Mercury in Detroit. We almost get lost in a very "down" downtown finding the best burger ever loved. If there is only one conclusion we have to draw: every bites are perfect.
荒芜的汽车城中我们迟疑着左拐右撞，终于绕进最完美的一家店。遇上的时间，地点，滋味，全是正好，至真。这真的是唯一可以提及就让全家人口舌生津赞不绝口的汉堡啊。
