When was the last time I lay down and glaze at the flying cloud while my mind stay still?
It could be just months ago, but forever make me feel a thousand years long. So alike the Zen saying: you can never put down anything, until to light your heart.
While, when my heart get lighter, my weight put on! Here we go, let's get a little scared to review our meals, and feel the braveness inside ourselves.
两周时间,关闭网路手机和一切联系,开始以为是对小朋友的考验,执行起来才深深觉得,更是对自己的挑战。
每天一觉睡醒就想和做几件事:吃喝玩乐。如今整理起来要有勇气,摆出来也要勇气:好一群吃货。吃是要智慧,更要有勇气哩。
所以,此文的副标题应为:如何12天增5磅。

Cold Appetizer. Appetizer always take me more time to consider and draw more attention at. It's the overture of a whole adventure. 头抬总是让人很期待。它和主菜决定了一晚的气氛。
Warm appetizers. Couple of them are main course ordered as appetizer. Works just great. 我并喜欢热的头抬。有时候把主菜改头抬也是会有惊喜的创造。
There is a reason they bake more than 5,000 bread per day on cruise. Hmm, does anyone give me a count on butter?! 我和孩子们要压抑住欲望才不能每餐吃多过一个面包。多种多样的小餐包,太惹人喜欢了。
Soup. We tried cold soups a lot this time. See the bottom left? It's a coconut soup. My kiddos love it alike shakes... 汤品为什么不够时髦了呢?要不糊糊的似baby food, 要不清清的味淡淡。遇好汤如中彩一般难。
Pasta & Noodle. Simple could always win. First one with baked parmesan shell is the top on our list. Everyone of the family ordered it by turn, on varies day. 我们的小少爷特别喜欢面,他可以每天点 餐餐吃。
Seafood. I like to have seafood by our window seat/balcony, finding myself in the middle of the deepest ocean while been educated by my first son's amazingly knowledge on oceanography. 海鲜是心理和热量负担较少的选择吧。多少的鱼,丰盈的口感倒也不多。不过我喜欢这艘船的贴心专业的服务,去骨脱壳利落而优雅,让人愉悦。
Poultry. Duck: my best choice on poultry all the time. 我们一致认为猪肉还是妈妈做的比较可靠。鹌鹑不够鲜,鸡是点了不少,惊喜就不太谈得上了。唯独鸭就很好。不过我更喜欢头抬里的醺鸭,时间火候与樱桃木称得特别相得益彰。
Beef and Lamb. Oh we can never get enough of them. My servers learned so fast that my all time choice is lamb, or steak/rib in rare. So rare they joke on kitchen "Her steak could be done on the way pass from kitchen to the table". 羊和牛,多么美味。天知道我们一行吃掉几头牛!羊就只得我一人捧场:平日里我一人,羊肉虽有,很少大块的上羊排,这下终于如愿。
Dessert. A meal could not well done without. I say this with a very heavy, heart. 甜点这种东西,就是不能听不能看不能想,香香甜甜的气息,简直叫人欲罢不能。怨它害人肥,却又往往深信它瞬间里提升幸福感的神奇。度假就是如此,放纵一下(或者很多下),又如何。
Cold dessert. Alaska is my fav. But one of my boys can order tri ice cream straight day by day: they have so many endless flavors, the names could touch your taste buds. 我心里冰淇淋始终是约会或休闲时的节目,不上大台面的。就算是自家手工做出来,也是夏季的小手工。不过Alaska 例外。我着实很喜欢它。
Buffet. The killer. Oh...no... 上船第一餐是它,离船最后一餐也是它。我选了多少绿色在盘里呀,可忘记了盘子超过16"宽哩。
Buffet fruit, snack, and dessert. Presentation is everything. You can find exactly same items from 5 course menu here, but when you see all 8 rather than 1, the taste is just not as elegant as you've waited for 20min after a dessert menu, and a tiny thing on a giant plate... 小吃和水果甜点就是好发挥自助餐的功能,只是自己用大盘,很难有精致的摆盘。
Breakfast. My kiddos were wondering why I took pictures for my BF plates ---- "yours are all the same all the time". My BF could be the very same & boring one when travel. But I love them: sunny-side-up + croissant, fruits + yogurt, a little bacon/sausage, warm lemon water and very hot coffee. A new day with an as-always plate. 服务早餐的侍者也端过我的晚餐,一定觉得我太省火了:从煎蛋到牛排,生到无路可退。
One big advance for buffet is to enjoy the creative decorations. Very touched experience was on the piano: the master turned many angles for me to photo only 'cause my son saying "that's your piano mom!" 有时候不吃,四处走走看看,收获也颇丰。看看这些一笔一刀刻来的玩意儿。
Afternoon Tea Time. Quite unexpected to me, my little ones enjoy the tea time ---- they think the sandwiches are far tasty and good looking than anywhere in the cruise. Scone with great cream and live piano was my favorite. 一天吃到晚,下午还有茶会。出人意料的是小朋友爱上:大概除了口味,时间短,服务密集也有关吧。
Main Chief and dessert chief entertain me a great cook on the only tough waved day at sea. 两位主厨,让8米的浪中的行程不在难过。
I loooove all the great times hang around by the balcony. But the food should be minimum, light and good drinks, with a good book and some flowers, breeze and sunset (I almost miss all sunrise, ops). Oww, and my camera. 在两个阳台窜通,躺着发呆,是最放松的时分。有茶,有本好书,伴着风和阳光,生活很美好了。
Yes, drinks. The original local drinks are the best jewels. I find the exact color of the Caribbean water from the Margarita while just walk up from snorkel, a Pina Cola feels so special while sipping under the coconut tree, and a simple juice impress me with its purity and fresh. 出门在外,有时候看上去朴实无华的一杯,却往往有惊喜。
And in the cruise, there is just no reason not to drink: I don't need to drive @_@ 我虽是还能喝,平日里倒只是小酌。但凡没有牵挂喝起来,也是件惬意的事。
OK, they are all mine. All good. All gone so quick... 是有首歌唱的,我要一杯接着一杯,陪着你喝醉...勇于实践就会有收获:发现了,混着喝不会快醉的。
Anything local is the most charming. And anything unexpected in a journey is always the best memorable. 在陌生的国度一个人行走在初醒的小镇,虽然语言不通习俗不懂,只要有笑脸和轻松的心,就会发现惊喜。
I love Columbian coffee & Costa Rica pineapple. And the fried fish ---- for breakfast! Gee they are so good. 有多少看不懂的本土的食物你是勇敢尝试的呢?我的原则是炸:但凡炸过的东西可能高温消毒,至少不容易闹肚子吧。生冷的东西就照照相好了。
The owner and only English speaker in the local restaurant keep wondering why my camera focus so closely on the food... Costa Rica的小老板。他是店里唯一可以帮我点菜的人。看我点了餐光忙着照相,他百忙之中隔了柜台摆好pose唤我给他照:这样会外文又帅又赚钱的少东家不照,照那些油滋滋的炸鱼和tamales做什么。
We were the first tourist brave enough to try his tamale in a thousands years old walled old town, his trailer then sold out at early morning 'cause everyone followed us to buy. Life could be sweet when you smile to a stranger.
Cartagena 老城里的小贩。先生第一个买了他的早餐小食,引得人人跟进,他是真挚的老实人,只会不停的往我们的食物上添辣酱,烧得先生的嘴唇都红啦。他握着美元小钞,眼也光了,对着我们的相机,开心之极。
一趟旅程,是人生的际遇。能在合宜的地方遇上美好的食物和人,是我们修的福。
